Prayer Requests & Goma

A daily ceremony is conducted at Korinji by monastery residents, dedicated to the well-being of our supporters and for the fulfillment of their prayers. We welcome you to submit prayer requests to be included in these dedications.

Please contact the monastery to submit your request. Prayers may be made for yourself, on behalf of another, or for someone who has passed away. No donation is required for prayer requests, but if you wish to contribute to the monastery your support is deeply appreciated. You may give here.

Goma - mikkyo fire ritual - at Korinji

Goma is a mikkyo (vajrayana) fire ritual during which prayers are also made on behalf of petitioners. Wooden boards containing these wishes are burned in the goma fire, which is considered a particularly powerful manner of prayer.

Korinji members are welcome to attend goma in-person. Others may submit prayer board requests by email. We ask that you specify the prayer or wish, the name, and the date of birth of the person on whose behalf the prayer will be made.

Following goma, the Nyoi Hoju Kaji, a special blessing for healing and good fortune, is often given for those present.
