Support Korinji: Vehicle Donations
If you have an old vehicle of any kind - including but not limited to cars, trucks, trailers, boats and RV's - you can donate it to Korinji and receive a tax deduction. Vehicle donation is one of the easiest ways to give. Here's how it works:
1. Contact Korinji by email or phone to notify us of you intention to donate a vehicle. Our fundraising staff will get information regarding the vehicle and transmit it to a well-known vehicle donation service, Car Program Inc., that we've engaged.
2. Car Program will respond immediately to confirm the eligibility of your vehicle for donation. Once your vehicle is accepted, a towing agency will contact you within 3 to 4 business days to schedule a pick-up. Car Program will also make a customer service call to you on the 4th business day (if for some reason your vehicle is ineligible for donation, Car Program will contact you to respectfully decline the donation - usually within 24 hours).
3. At pick-up, the tow driver will give you your donation receipt (he will need the car, keys and title). Please retain this receipt for your records, and to claim your federal income tax deduction.
4. Car Program will then sell the vehicle at auction or directly to a salvage yard, and the proceeds (minus Car Program's service fee) will be sent to the Foundation.
