Support Korinji: Bequeath a Gift
A bequest (a contribution made in your will) is a lasting legacy that, like ripples in a pond, can spread out and benefit others for many years beyond the span of your own life. Thank you for considering a bequest to the Korinji Foundation.
There are several ways that you can make a bequest or gift in your will to Korinji. The provision you choose will depend upon your circumstances, what type of property you wish to bequeath, and your other obligations. Please check with your attorney to learn which option best suits you, and what specific language should be included in your will.
The kinds of bequests you can make are:
Specific Bequest: This is the bequest of a specific sum of cash or other property for a specific Korinji program or for Korinji's use where the Foundation deems it most needed. Here is some example wording for making a specific bequest:
"I bequeath to the Korinji Foundation, Chicago, Illinois, the sum of $_________________, to be used by said corporation for its general purposes."
Residuary Bequest: This is the bequest of a specified percentage or all of the assets remaining in your estate after other expenses and bequests have been paid.
Contingent Bequest: This is a bequest specifying that a specific amount or a percentage of your estate be paid to the Foundation, only if your other beneficiary or beneficiaries do not survive you.
