Practice Groups:  The Rinzai Zen Community
The Rinzai Zen Community (RZC) is the network of practice groups and practitioners anchored by Korinji and Daiyuzenji, our sister temple in Chicago.   We're an open association of friends, united by our practice of Zen.  You are very welcome to join us.

RZC practice groups currently exist in the USA (Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky and Georgia) and in Germany (Berlin and Laufen).  Meeting usually weekly or monthly, they are excellent places to receive instruction in basic zazen (seated meditation) and to practice with a group of supportive peers.  RZC groups are also visited by teachers and senior students from our main centers, and serve as gateways for those interested in entering into a formal practice with a Zen teacher.

For more information on RZC membership and to locate a practice group, please visit the RZC website here.  It contains useful resources for Zen students, and you may also join RZC online.  Note: if you currently donate regularly to Korinji, you are automatically considered a RZC member, so please go to the RZC site and register.  Membership gives you access to additional resources such as videos and downloads, discounted fees for special events including sesshin (retreats), and access to the Zen teachers which lead our community.

We are interested in supporting anyone who wishes to practice Zen.  If you'd like to start a Rinzai Zen Community practice group in your area, please contact us and we may be able to help.
